Perfume Post

I adore perfume. I always have 4 or 5 bottles on the go and tend to switch between each one. I also love how there are so many different scents and no two perfumes smell the same. I tend to go for something light and fresh like Nina Ricci in the summer, and something more musky like Next Cashmere in the winter.

These are some of my favourites from this year.

Nina Ricci does lovely scents especially for summer. You only need one or two sprays as they are quite strong. I adore the bottle design of this particular perfume. Its apple shape is so cute and dainty which totally matches the fragrance. One bottle lasts me at least 12 months and the scent lingers all day! Perfect!

Next Cashmere is the perfect scent for autumn/winter. It has a musky fragrance that again lasts all day. Next perfumes are fantastic for long lasting and price! At under a tenner it is a bargain and whats more, it fits perfectly in your handbag!

This is another Next beauty called Eau de Nude. It is light and fresh and essential for day in day out wear. Again at under £10 it is a steal and is great for storing in your handbag.

At the top end of my perfume range is Miss Dior. My boyfriend bought me this and I have been using it sparingly as it costs so much. At a whopping £95 it is definitely one to wear on special occasions. The bottle design is so delicate and beautiful, perfect for any girl!

So these are my top perfumes for this year. Do you have any faves?

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Welcome to my Macmillan Coffee Morning!

Yesterday we hosted our first Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money for Macmillan Nurses. We invited lots of people who were friends and relatives of my Grandad who sadly passed away last year. After days of preparation and a hell of a lot of baking, I am glad to say that the day went fabulously and we raised an amazing £175.60!

This was an amazing experience and I urge anyone and everyone to get involved. It is a fantastic cause and so many people have been affected in one way or another.

Here are some snaps of the goodies Mom and I baked for the day. We made a chocolate cake, a triple victoria sandwich, butterfly cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes, jam cupcakes, iced buns, plain buns, flapjacks, ginger biscuits and lavender biscuits. I didn't have time to take as many as I'd liked as I was on tea and coffee making duty!

My Nivea Love

For a while now I have been slowly switching from Garnier to Nivea. As you will know from my earlier posts, I loved Garnier but since using some of these Nivea products I have totally jumped ship. Here are some of my favourites.

The express hydration body lotion is fabulous. It does exactly what it says on the bottle and makes your skin feel light and hydrated. After a hot steamy shower this is exactly what you need.

I have had quite a few hand lotions by Nivea but this is by far my favourite. It doesn't leave your hands feeling greasy and it lasts all day.

When it comes to night cream I always try really hard to use it every night. However sometimes I do forget but this little beauty is fantastic. Its does make a difference and leaves your skin feeling lovely and smooth when you wake up.

This is a new addition to my collection. I have only been using this primer for a few days but I can already tell the difference. It is the first time I have ever used a primer as I usually opt for a normal moisturiser. What surprised me with this product is how little you actually need to use, which is fab as it will last a lot longer.

So these were some of my favourite Nivea products. I would totally recommend Nivea to anyone who fancies trying something new. Thy have a vast range for all skin types so whether you dry, oily, sensitive, normal or anywhere in between there is definitely something for you. :)

Latest Buy: Shelf Ladders

I have wanted some of these for a while now, and with my birthday coming up, my lovely mother decided to treat me! Yay! The pictures are not the best due to the position of the ladders in my room  but I just had to share my love for these new beauties!

On the top shelf I have put my old memo board. In my last post I showed you how to make your very own memo board, and will probably replace my old one very soon.

The second shelf is home to my little notebooks, by tea tin that I use as a pen pot, and my lovely picture frame my sister bought me for my birthday. We are huuuge Grey's Anatomy fans so naturally she decorated it with our favourite memories from the show.

Next is a nice and simple shelf. I paired a picture of my grandad, my sister and myself from when we were younger with a lovely scented candle.

Now everyone needs more storage. If you don't then you haven't got enough junk/stuff. Inside these boxes are crafts for when I am making everything from cards to presents for birthdays and Christmas.

Finally, there is just enough room underneath for my Game of Thrones books.
